Die Diagonale ist ein Filmfestival, das in den Jahren 1993, 1994 und 1995 in Salzburg stattfand und seit 1998 jährlich in Graz veranstaltet wird. Es versteht sich als umfassende Jahresfilmschau des österreichischen Filmschaffens, die alle Genres abdecken möchte. 2020 wurde die Veranstaltung aufgrund der COVID-19-Pandemie online durchgeführt, 2021 fand sie vom 8. bis 13. Juni statt. Die 25. Ausgabe wurde vom 5. bis zum 10. April 2022 durchgeführt. Trägerverein der Diagonale ist das seit 17. Juli 1997 bestehende Forum österreichischer Film.
