Das Newport Pop Festival fand am 3. und 4. August 1968 in Costa Mesa in Kalifornien statt. Es gilt als das erste Musikfestival mit mehr als 100.000 zahlenden Besuchern. Vom 20. bis zum 22. Juni 1969 gab es mit Newport 69 eine Neuauflage in Northridge mit geschätzten 200.000 Besuchern.
